AT&T new phones

AT&T is bringing out two new Android smartphones which will be running on AT&T’s 4G LTE, or Long-Term Evolution network. Both of these phones should get rave reviews, as one is an HTC brand phone, which most folks out in the tech world seem to adore, and a Samsung, which has to have done something right, as they keep on rolling out phones and has been doing so for a while.
As mentioned, these phones will be running on AT&T’s LTE network. AT&T is using this to compete against Verizon, as they are truly the only two 4G networks out there, as Sprint really has kinda like a 3.5G, and T-Mobile shares it with Sprint. It is a bit surprising that AT&T is coming out so late with this network, as Verizon has had it for a while. And, now they only have it in five cities, three of those being in Texas. By the end of the month, it will have expanded by another four cities, none in Pennsylvania however. The network should expand to Philadelphia by the end of the year though, as it is a top 10 city in population still, and there are many users in the area I’m sure. AT&T should be getting more and more cities into this network by the end of 2012, and will truly give a run to Verizon’s dominance as the number one wireless carrier in the U.S.
