Google Rumors

Is Google revamping Maps?

We’ve heard rumors.  (Actually we’ve read them, but somehow “heard” sounds better.)  This unofficial Google news blog says they’re going to launch a new interface for Google Maps.  Some of the rumors starters think this will be one of the things Google unveils at their I/O next week.

According to the blog, “The update will remove the sidebar and will display everything on top of the full-screen map.”  It also says, “Instead of focusing on navigational elements, buttons and sidebars, the new Google Maps focuses on the map.”  Here’s hoping this isn’t the biggest news at the I/O!

Some of the other I/O rumors are things like:

  • New Gmail
  • More wearable tech
  • Gaming Center
  • New Nexus Q
  • New Android devices
  • Something new about Chrome OS
  • New Chromebook

With Google I/O 2013 just a few days away, we’ll find out soon what the exciting news will be!
