On the Surface

BeckyStrause

The Microsoft Surface RT was released last week, and seems to be getting some rave reviews.  Even Oprah listed it as one of “ Favorite Things ” for 2012, comparing it to a Mercedes Benz.

One of the elements that supporters seem to appreciate are the ports.  Unlike some tablets, the Surface has a full-size USB port, a Micro-SD card slot, and convertors that allow connection to VGA and HD displays.

Another big hit seems to be the Touch cover, which acts as both a screen cover and a physical keyboard.  The cover connects magnetically with a very satisfying “crunch” sound that Microsoft worked hard to perfect.  The convenience of having a full keyboard built right into the cover is also appreciated reviewers.

Previously we had blogged about the Surface, and you can read more about it here:  Microsoft Surface.
