Back to Blackberry

Today Blackberry announced their new products, the Blackberry 10 Z10 and Q10.  The Z10, featuring an all touch keyboard, will be available in the United Kingdom on Thursday, Canada on February 5, the United Arab Emirates on February 10. The United States won’t see the Z10 until sometime in March.

Blackberry is also offering the Q10, which has a classic Blackberry tactile keyboard.  The time frame for the release of the Q10 is still up in the air.

The company, with a recent name change from RIM to Blackberry,  is counting on the Blackberry 10 to be their comeback product.  They would like us to forget what we know about Blackberry.  “We have redefined ourselves inside and out,” Heins said. “RIM becomes BlackBerry! It is one brand, it is one promise.”

Much of the focus of the new products is their ability to do true multitasking and the availability of 70,000 applications, including Skype, Amazon, Kindle and Angry Birds.
